2021 ALPHA BOX & DICE 'Siren' Nero D'Avola

A seaside Nero D’Avola; mesmerising and powerful. The Siren is a wine for Scorpio, complex and intriguing. Exotic, strange yet familiar, with the allure of warm rapture and inky depth. Heightened aromas of lavender, red berries, dusty terracotta and earthy herbs. The palate shows layers of black cherries, savoury tannins, black olive tapenade and dark gamey notes rounded out with an everlasting saline abyss. Heady virility and magical depth.

Grecanico from Sicily, a cousin of the better-known Greco. Hints of sweet fruit on the nose, floral aromas draw you in. Paradoxically dry on the palate. Generous with phenolic grip anchoring fruit notes and extending length. Contrasting elements in a delicious tussle; soft, aromatic fruits and strong, structured tannins. A powerful white that's pleasantly polarising for Scorpio.

A dry rosé, with structure and bite for those brooding, complex Scorpios. Refreshing and crisp on the outset with fire and drive underneath. Tart strawberries and peppery spice. This icy facade melts to a tangible heat; mellow, textural and savoury. Strawberry, dried herbs and a pleasantly-bitter grapefruit note drawing length. Think sarcasm and mood swings.
